bearing witness...

So... I want to bear witness this morning.

It can be done.

You can do church without people tearing each other apart.

You can hear what God is saying and listen to one another as well... and perhaps even hear God through one another.

You can plant a church without a big chunk of dough.

You can have elders who love one another and love people and love hanging out with one another and whose meetings are not 4 hours of nails-on-chalkboard torture, but are actually fun times of talking about what's best for the community, what they hear people saying and desiring and how those two things go together really, really well.

You don't need a denomination, but you can connect with other churches in friendships and cooperation. It doesn't have to be competition.

You can do church and be a pastor without it killing you.

It can actually feed your soul.

But you might have to change some things...

I bear witness.

What you describe is exactly what I am looking for as a pastor. Go God!

Man, I love our elder meetings! I wonder how many people out there can say they look forward to their elder meetings?
