Bell's book isn't a sex manual, an exploration of the differences between men and women or a marriage how-to, though all of that is here. Instead, it's the story of God becoming human, of humans mirroring God and love made manifest in the chaos of our humanity. Sex God is about relationships revealed in a way that elevates the human condition and offers hope to those whose relationships are wounded. |

Come join us as we work through a series on the New Testament book of 1 Corinthians... This one has everything- fighting, sex, drunkeness... kind of like an episode of Cops, but in the Bible. This Sunday at 10am @ the Lucky Lab Pub on NW Quimby and also the Lucky Lab Pub on Hawthorne. Childcare is provided and everyone is welcome.

Are you looking to connect with people at a more intimate level than is possible on Sunday morning? Sundays can be a tough context in which to have consistently meaningful conversations and truly get to know other people. But if you are looking to get to know people, to build community, to give and receive encouragement, prayer, discussion, etc. then you may want to consider participating in a home group this fall. While we don’t expect everyone will be a part of a home group and we know that some already find community during the men’s group at the Lompoc or Women & Wine; if this is a season you have decided to commit to a home group, here’s some help in getting connected to one or in starting your own. |

New Folks HomegroupNew to Evergreen?
The next New Folks Homegroup is close to getting underway. This will be on these four dates @ 6pm:

If you're newer to Evergreen (either Quimby or Hawthorne) or have been around for a while but would like to connect with some more people, I highly recommend this! We'll meet for four consecutive weeks to get to know each other, to give you a chance to ask questions, to have some discussions and to eat some food.
